Treatment is quick and straightforward, with minimal disruption to your day and your clinician will explain exactly what to expect before proceeding.
What If It’s a Mole?
Safety always comes first. Before removing a mole, we need to be confident that it is suitable for cosmetic treatment. Where further assessment is appropriate, we can use Map My Mole to have your mole reviewed by a specialist dermatology service before deciding on the safest next step.

Treatment & Removal
If your lesion is suitable for removal, we’ll explain the recommended treatment and what you can expect before, during and after the procedure. Treatment with CryoPen is typically quick and straightforward, with clear aftercare advice to support healing.
Review & Reassurance
We’ll invite you back for a review around 3–4 weeks after treatment to check the area has healed as expected and make sure everything is looking good. If any further treatment or follow-up is required, we’ll talk you through the next step.

We can assess and treat a range of common skin lesions including skin tags, warts, sun spots and suitable moles. Your consultation allows us to examine the lesion, establish a clinical diagnosis and determine whether removal at the clinic is appropriate for you.
Every lesion is professionally assessed before treatment. If there is any uncertainty or we believe a mole requires further assessment, we may recommend additional investigation through Map My Mole or an appropriate referral before considering removal. Your safety always comes first.
CryoPen treatment is generally quick and well tolerated, although you may experience some brief discomfort during treatment. We’ll explain what to expect based on the lesion being treated and make sure you’re comfortable before we begin.
Any procedure involving the skin carries some risk of marking or scarring. Our aim is always to achieve the best cosmetic outcome possible while treating the lesion safely, and we’ll discuss the expected healing process and any individual risks with you before treatment.
Healing time varies depending on the type, size and location of the lesion and the treatment required. The treated area will change as it heals, and we’ll give you clear aftercare instructions to follow at home before reviewing your progress around 3–4 weeks later.
Some lesions can respond well to a single treatment, while others may require further treatment to achieve the desired result. We’ll assess your progress at your review appointment and advise you if anything further is required.
