Aesthetic Medicine Live

Aesthetic Medicine is the UK and Ireland’s leading aesthetic magazine, and they host annual events called Aesthetic Medicine Live. This year, on the 8th of June, for the very first time, Aesthetic Medicine Live came to Scotland.

Held at the SEC in Glasgow, this event was brilliant!

Despite stiff competition from Girls Aloud and Taylor Swift concerts, it was well attended and featured a dynamic and ambitious agenda.

Aesthetic Medicine Live was open to everyone in medical aesthetics, from Clinic Administrators to plastic surgeons, though the masterclasses were reserved for registered clinicians.

I had an incredibly busy day!

In the morning, I chaired one of the hottest and best-attended sessions – Complications, Training, and Regulation.

These are big, important, and sometimes contentious topics, so we ran well over time!

Next, I had to hurry across the exhibition hall to the business seminar stage to speak on a panel called “Medic Lead: Running a Successful Aesthetic Clinic” with my colleague Dr. Lisa Dinley.

This was a great conversation, and I loved sharing my personal and very current experiences with new practitioners looking to build their own businesses.

To end my day, I presented in the final afternoon masterclass on Combination Treatments. I got to talk about my beloved microneedling, featuring the Xcellaris Pro Twist by Dermaroller, the Original, of course!

Aesthetic medicine as a specialty has always been fairly London-centric, so it was amazing to have an event of this calibre north of the border and have access to this kind of education locally.

I’m delighted to say that yes, Aesthetic Medicine Live Glasgow is coming back in 2025!

Treating Nasolabial Folds Naturally With Juläine

Our skin has a remarkable way of holding memory, with lines that slowly settle into place as we get older. Among the earliest to emerge are nasolabial lines, forming subtly over time, beginning as soft folds beside the mouth and gradually becoming more defined as facial structure evolves with age.
